AWARD-WINNING PROJECT
Robertson Ranch

Located along the intersections of El Camino Real and Tamarack Avenue, Robertson Ranch has been developed as a balanced master-planned community in two phases (East Village and West Village) over the past ten years.  The project consisted of approximately 398 acres that will integrate residential, commercial, educational, recreational and open space land uses.

The East Village design conforms to the Planned Development Ordinance of the City of Carlsbad and includes 439 single family, 5,000 square foot residential lots, 78 affordable housing units in a multi-family neighborhood, two ¼-acre pocket parks, 1.5 acres of centralized community recreation facilities, 2.2 miles of community trails, a recreational vehicle parking area, approximately 63 acres of open space and a street design that maximizes circulation connectivity in accordance with the Livable Streets Ordinance.  Of the 2.2 miles of trails, 7,600 linear feet of stabilized DG trails and approximately 4,000 linear feet are meandering sidewalks / trails located adjacent to Cannon Road.

The West Village design features a wide range of land uses, including residential, commercial, community facility, park, school, and open space uses. The residential component of the West Village consists of 272 single-family 7,500 square foot residential lots and 333 multi-family units, including 91 inclusionary housing units. This village will also include a 10.8-acre elementary school site located along Street Z (the central spine entry road that intersects with El Camino Real), an 8.3-acre local shopping center site located off Cannon Road, a 12.7-acre City park site, and two community facility designated sites totaling 4.3 acres and 71.7 acres of open space.
