Beth began her Civil Engineering career by earning an internship in practical Civil Engineering with the University of Nebraska at Lincoln while still in High School. Her first Engineering employer was BRW Group (acquired by URS Corporation, now AECOM), where she worked in various roles, from CAD designer to Construction Project Manager, specializing in municipal, industrial, and commercial projects.
Beth then went on to work in the private sector as a Civil Designer and Project Manager, focusing on subdivision design and urban infill projects. This work includes proposal writing, planning and entitlement processes (Tentative Maps, Coastal Development Permits, Conditional Use Permits, etc.), Storm Water quality design and report preparation, SWQMP, SWPPP, Drainage Studies, BMP & LID design, grading plans, right-of-way street and utility design, cost estimating, and Subdivision Mapping processes.
Beth Reiter over 25 years of civil engineering experience and has been with O’Day Consultants since 2019. She manages several large projects and has acted as the project representative at Public Hearings and Community Group meetings and presentations. Beth is immensely knowledgeable of plan review and permitting processes with the City of San Diego and the surrounding agencies.
