EXPERIENCE
George O’Day has 42 years of combined civil engineering, land surveying, environmental and project management experience. He has been with our firm since its founding in 1981 and is our “go-to” manager for solving project challenges and identifying practical solutions.
George has managed numerous public, private and federal projects. He is the single point of contact leading clients through all project phases including preliminary concepts, engineering support, plan approval, tentative maps, entitlement processes, design, mapping, and approvals. He also manages construction surveying, as-builts, certification procedures for jurisdiction acceptance, and bond releases.
George is well-versed in providing seamless coordination with key agencies including: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, California Department of Fish & Game, California Coastal Commission, and FEMA, adding to the success of many river, lagoon and wetland projects. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Biochemical Pharmacology, which strengthens his knowledge for environmentally sensitive wetland and urban pollution control assignments.
He is recipient of the Caltrans Excellence in Transportation award for the LEGOLAND roundabout project.
